Firstly, congratulations! I’m guessing you’ve clicked on this page because you are expecting a baby soon.

You will experience lots of physical changes in the coming months and you may be feeling like you want to ensure your body is fit and healthy for both you and your growing baby. Even if you haven’t done much exercise in the past, it isn’t too late to start exercising.

If exercise is new to you, I would advise avoiding taking up a new exercise programme in your first trimester. Your body is going through a huge change and starting to exercise at this point could put a little too much pressure on your body.

If you are already a keen exerciser, it is perfectly safe to continue with your normal routine during your first trimester, as long as you feel comfortable doing so.

From the second trimester onwards it is safe to start a new exercise programme even if you haven’t exercised previously.

It’s so important to keep yourself fit and healthy during pregnancy. It will help ease aches and pains during pregnancy and it will help speed up your recovery postpartum too.

The Fit Mumma To Be package will incorporate exercises to help your changing body. We will work on upper body strength to help support your back due to your boobs increasing in weight and to get your upper body strong and ready to carry your new baby around. We will work on core strength in a safe way to help minimise the separation of your stomach muscles, and to help with back pain which is very common in pregnancy. We will work on lower body and glute strength to help assist you carry your new bump around and also to help during labour.

The Fit Mumma To Be package is purchasable in a block of 10 weeks and is available both face-to-face and virtually. The package will include the following:

  • Pre-Programme: In-depth questionnaire - to go through your pregnancy so far and any previous pregnancies you have had, to understand your experience with exercise and what exercise you are currently doing.

  • Sessions 1 - 10: Pre-Natal Exercise Programme - after I have assessed you thoroughly, I will write a programme specifically for you. Each session will include exercises to help strengthen your body in the ways that I have mentioned above. The exercise will be adapted to your capabilities as your pregnancy progresses as it is important to listen to your body and do what feels right for you as your body changes.

  • In addition to the face-to-face sessions, I will provide you with a home programme to complete in your own time. The home programme will include two 30 minute sessions.

  • I will also provide you with nutritional support - it is so important to ensure you are fuelling yourself properly when you are exercising, especially when you are pregnant.

Package Prices:

Fit Mumma Once a Week Package - £390

Virtual Fit Mumma Once a Week Package - £330. Doing the package virtually will require you to buy some simple equipment to use during the sessions which I will send you links to at the time of booking.
